About the Role

We are expanding our operations in Canada and seeking a seasoned sales leader to drive business growth and manage a remote sales team. As the Head of Regional Sales, you will be responsible for accelerating our business and developing new leads through market research, conference attendance, and other suitable methods.

Reporting Line: Head of Global Sales

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert existing contacts into new business opportunities.
  • Develop new leads through market research, conference attendance, and other suitable methods.
  • Lead the recruitment efforts to build the team alongside the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Meet monthly and annual sales targets set with management.
  • Identify market opportunities and monitor competition developments.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, acting as the primary contact for strategic and VIP accounts.
  • Collaborate with Sales Admin in the pre-sales, sales, and post-sales phases for support and resources.
  • Ensure sales processes align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspire, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve productivity.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and services to customers.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Participate in new hire selection and mentor/inspire new team members, maintaining company values and corporate processes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial/client-facing roles in the Financial Services/Banking industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the securities market.
  • A valid business contact network to build a sales pipeline within the first 90 days.
  • A strong track record as a highly performing sales individual and managing a senior sales team in our specific industry.
  • Strong motivation for sales (hunting and new business development) and high energy with good time management skills.
  • Strong command of English; additional languages are an asset.
