About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Enterprise Sales Leader to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our Sales organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the Canadian market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the Head of NA Sales to define and execute a regional sales growth strategy for enterprise sellers in Canada, driving execution, setting ambitious and achievable plans and targets to support profitable revenue growth.
  • Manage Sales Forecasts and Budgets: Accurately manage sales forecasts, set budgets and goals for the sales team, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Client Engagement and Events: Implement, lead, and oversee client events, social engagements, and sponsorships based on local market dynamics and broad business knowledge, representing the Spotify brand at client/agency summits through public speaking, panel moderation, and keynotes.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Hire, manage, mentor, and develop a Director of Sales (DOS) within the region, as well as the growing Enterprise Sales team, including salespeople and support staff.
  • Relationship Building and Analysis: Build upon established relationships and develop new relationships with key industry executive decision-makers across Canada, analyzing, validating, and updating sales performance and critical metrics to maximize growth.
  • Methodology Development and Efficiency: Develop standard methodologies and demonstrate efficiencies that can scale from local to global, maintaining high levels of communication and transparency with management, cross-functional teams, and business partners internally and externally.
Requirements
  • 12+ Years of Digital Advertising/Marketing Sales Experience: Including 8+ years in sales leadership, with 5+ years of larger staff management experience.
  • Outstanding Go-to-Market Strategy and Operational Discipline: Ability to lead a team to efficiently and effectively move important revenue initiatives throughout a large organization with high velocity.
  • Highly Motivated, Organized, and Entrepreneurial: Strong region-based agency and brand relationships, with great communication, consultative selling, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Strategic Use of Data and Insights: Ability to strategically use data and insights to inform client investment strategy, effectively positioning Spotify's ad solutions through creative storytelling.
  • Deep Understanding of the Digital Ecosystem: Strong understanding and expertise in account planning, strategic planning, and media buying within digital, video, and audio environments.
  • Existing Network of Senior-Level Contacts: Possess an existing network of senior-level contacts in media and marketing.
  • Leadership Experience and Skills: Mastered the fundamentals of sales management and leadership, including forecasting, client research, pitch and presentations skills, bottoms-up planning, and meeting reports.
