About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Transition Line Nurse. This is a casual opportunity at Burnaby Hospital, where you will have the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

As a Transition Line Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. You will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to develop and implement person-centered care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

You will also be required to:

  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources using skills of observation, communication, data review, and physical assessment
  • Makes a nursing diagnosis of the patient's condition and determines whether the condition can be improved or resolved by an appropriate nursing intervention
  • Collaborate with patients and their families/care givers in developing the care plan and encourages family participation in the development, implementation, and ongoing modification of the care plan

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Completion of the applicable post graduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the applicable post graduate specialty nursing courses/program
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Estimated Salary Range

$41.42 - $59.52 per hour
