Job Summary


As a Healthcare Support Worker with Fraser Health, you will play a vital role in providing non-direct and non-clinical healthcare supports to clients and families in home settings. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional, you will perform a variety of tasks to meet established needs and promote physical, emotional, cultural, social, and spiritual well-being.



Key Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport with clients and families, and assist in promoting their overall well-being.
  • Observe clients and their environments, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, behavioral and/or physical changes to designated supervisors.
  • Assist with mealtime activities, including limited food preparation and setup of supplies and equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, and laundry, as required.
  • Complete and maintain related records electronically or using documents such as inter-shift communication books, daily log sheets, and progress reports.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 10, including successful completion of English 10 or equivalency.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work and operate related equipment.
