At Vail Resorts, we're passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences that leave a lasting impression on our guests. As a Restaurant Manager at our iconic Whistler Après Bar, you'll play a key role in shaping the culinary landscape of our resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the front and back of house teams to deliver seamless dining experiences, ensuring exceptional service quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our dining location and drive revenue growth.
  • Manage administrative duties, including hiring, cash management, reservations, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and records management.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain facility standards for food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
  • Review staff performance and provide meaningful feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
  • Participate in leadership forums to drive continuous improvement and share best practices.
  • Lead labor management and scheduling initiatives to optimize staff utilization and reduce costs.
  • Embed environmental sustainability principles and champion Vail Resorts' Zero Waste initiatives.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's or Culinary degree preferred.
  • Serving it Right certification.
  • 2-5 years of high-volume Bar/Restaurant management experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience with a team of 50+ employees.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a shift, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs.
  • Flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Fluent communication in English; bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to ski or snowboard strongly preferred.
