About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at PRABHSIMRAN CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Estimate costs and materials for drywall installation projects
    • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts for optimal drywall installation
  • Installation
    • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish
    • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Finishing
    • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
    • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
    • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Maintenance
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
    • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
  • Teamwork
    • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install drywall
    • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms as needed
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
