Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Progressive Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Install Metal Corner Beads: Protect exterior corners with precision and attention to detail.
  • Fabricate and Install Suspended Metal Ceiling Grids: Create and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill Joints and Nail Indentations: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, Cut, and Install Drywall Sheets: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets with precision and accuracy.
  • Position and Secure Sheets: Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth Out Excess Compound: Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Tape Over Joints: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying locations. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Conditions: Repetitive tasks, large workload, and physically demanding environment.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player.
