Position Overview

PUNJAB DRYWALL LTD is seeking a dedicated and skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all projects.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in drywall installation
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assess project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed tenders and quotations for clients.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall application.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure durability.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids, incorporating panels to create acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat as necessary.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets with precision.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to achieve the desired consistency for application.
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to enhance aesthetic appeal.
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists effectively.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow it to dry thoroughly.
  • Apply acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings as required.
  • Utilize a taping machine to tape over joints and embed tape in compound.
  • Install both exterior and interior steel studs as part of the framing process.
  • Prepare comprehensive wall and ceiling layouts to ensure accurate installation.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The working language is English.
