Position Overview

PUNJAB DRYWALL LTD is seeking a dedicated Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in drywall installation and finishing techniques.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in drywall installation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ascertain project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for projects.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices in the field.
  • Prepare and clean surfaces for drywall application.
  • Ensure proper curing of freshly plastered surfaces.
  • Construct and install suspended metal ceiling grids, incorporating panels to create acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Finish corners and angles, creating decorative designs in the finish coat as necessary.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets with precision.
  • Mix plaster components to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Design and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim.
  • Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth excess compound and allow it to dry adequately.
  • Apply acoustic or texture materials to walls and ceilings using spray techniques.
  • Utilize a taping machine to tape over joints and embed tape in compound.
  • Install both exterior and interior steel studs as required.
  • Prepare layouts for walls and ceilings to ensure accuracy.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The primary language of work will be English.
