Job Title: Project Manager - Environment and Climate Change

Job Summary:

CSA Group is seeking a Project Manager to facilitate the development of standards related to environment and climate change. This includes standards for climate change mitigation and adaptation, recycling, circularity, and ESG. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of standards development, managing multiple environment standards development committees, and working with industry executives, academia, and senior government officials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Committee management and leadership, including establishing the scope of work, managing resources, and providing project management leadership.
  • Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within or related to environment and climate change.
  • Determining and managing resources required to complete a project, ensuring deliverables are achieved on-time and within budget.
  • Ensuring coordination with other departments involved in the development and publication of a standard or other business opportunities.
  • Supporting engagement on the CSA Online Portal, promoting involvement, and stimulating conversations amongst members and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Technologist or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an environment-related field, including circular economy, GHG management, climate change, business or environmental management systems, and sustainability.
  • Knowledge of the standards industry, government policy, industry landscape, and funding programs/models.
  • Experience leading or working with multi-stakeholder committees or groups.
  • Experience in writing proposals, business plans, and technical documents.
  • Standards development experience or a history of working with standards is an asset.

  • Competency with major Microsoft and Project Management software.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the activities of others.
