Business Development Manager

GROWMARK, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to lead the implementation of Energy Division and Member Resources initiatives, drive business development, and provide strategic support to assigned member cooperatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with member management and boards to develop short and long-range business and marketing plans that increase profitable sales and enhance member cooperative vitality.
- Assist with GROWMARK System supported General Manager and board functions, including FS Membership Agreement, UMA, policies, development, succession, and other areas as needed.
- Collaborate with Energy Division to coordinate Canadian supply and logistics, including pricing, ordering, and distribution.
- Implement GROWMARK supported technology and coordinate internal resources to focus on best practices for members.
- Act as liaison between member and GROWMARK, collaborating with Divisions to provide System supported services for member cooperatives.
- Coordinate and conduct Ontario Region meetings, including General Manager, Energy, Human Resources, Controller, Finance, Safety, Operations, Grain, Director related, and other meetings as needed.
- Support member cooperatives in developing human resource plans that result in effective succession planning, recruiting, and developing professional employees.
- Research and analyze major competitors and marketplace opportunities in coordination with other Ontario Team members.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Ontario related agricultural and cooperative organizations.
- Coordinate comparative analysis and financial analysis of and for members.
- Attend member annual meetings and board meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Normally requires a degree in finance, marketing, or other business-related discipline and at least 6 years of related experience.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
- Prefer GROWMARK System marketing and/or management experience.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training.
