Business Manager - GROWMARK, Inc. - Remote Opportunity

Purpose and Summary Statement

Provides leadership and support to assigned member cooperatives with implementation of Energy Division and Member Resources initiatives, business development, strategies, board & manager development, and FS member services.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Consults and assists with member management and boards in developing short and long-range business and marketing plans that result in increased profitable sales with specific emphasis on energy products, enhances member cooperative vitality, and continuous improvement with focus on best practices.
  2. Assists with all GROWMARK System supported General Manager and board functions such as FS Membership Agreement, UMA, policies, development, succession, and other areas as needed.
  3. Assists with utilization and implementation of GROWMARK supported technology.
  4. Establishes and maintains relationships with Ontario related agricultural and cooperative organizations such as 4-H, OABA, OCA, CMC, Farm & Food Care, Cooperators, and others as determined by future needs.
  5. Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Requirements

  1. Normally requires a degree in finance, marketing, or other business-related discipline and at least 6 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide business and marketing leadership in the assigned territory.
  2. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  3. Prefer GROWMARK System marketing and/or management experience.
  4. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  5. Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
  6. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
