We are the market leader in developing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for the agricultural sector, operating under the names ABS Seed, ABS Breeding, ABS Production, ABS Trial, and ABS Fresh.

Our headquarters in Grootebroek (The Netherlands) coordinates development, support, and consultancy, while our office in India (Hyderabad) and planned office in Canada (Guelph) expand our reach.

To advise on our ABS solutions in use in existing ABS customers and expand our business in the United States and Canada, we are looking for a Business Consultant located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Main Focus of the Position

To assist our ABS customers in using ABS software by on-site consultancy, and advise the management of our ABS customers and prospects in the seed and agricultural industry on their business, growth, and improvement using ABS software solutions.

Main Tasks
  • Collaborate with our Canadian support consultant as a team.
  • Manage customer and potential customer relationships, gaining confidence in Agro Business Solutions as a company and its products and services.
  • Fulfill requests related to the use of ABS in the customer's organization.
  • Recognize opportunities for new sales with existing and potential customers.
  • Show demos of the ABS software to (potential) customers, based on their business processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of ABS software in new customer sites in collaboration with the headquarters in Grootebroek (The Netherlands).
  • Report back on important experiences from the practical use of the solution by the customer, and ensure these conclusions become known at the appropriate place in the organization where we can improve our organization, solution, and/or quality.
  • Support the follow-up of RFCs, calls, requests, and tasks requested by the customer.
  • Test new functionalities of the software relevant to the customer.
Required Qualifications
  • Able and willing to travel 2 weeks a month within the US and Canada, and sometimes to the HQ in Grootebroek.
  • Bachelor's level education.
  • Ability to communicate with C-Level customers and potential customers.
  • Experience in business consultancy.
  • Skilled in MS Office.
  • Eager to learn ABS applications.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Knowledge of Dutch or French is an advantage.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Highly self-motivated individual, with a high level of time management and organizational skills. Well-organized, committed, accurate, and thorough, with attention to detail.
