Northern Health is seeking a seasoned Health Information Management Director to lead a team responsible for delivering Health Information Management (HIM) services. The ideal candidate will have significant management and leadership experience, with a strong understanding of healthcare informatics and records management operations. Key responsibilities include leading complex projects, managing high-level stakeholder relationships, and implementing organizational change.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team responsible for delivering HIM services, including registration, release of information, records management, and health informatics.
Develop and implement strategies to improve HIM services and support integrated care and high-quality service delivery.
Manage complex projects and quality improvement initiatives, with a focus on process redesign and improvement.
Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners and solution providers.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address HIM-related issues and opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in health information science or a related discipline, plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible information management experience in a healthcare environment.
Demonstrated experience in influencing leaders and implementing organizational change.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate and negotiate effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to the needs of stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment and adapt to a rapid and changing environment.
