About the Role

Northern Health is seeking a highly experienced Director, Health Information Management to lead a team responsible for delivering Health Information Management (HIM) services to the organization. As a champion of change, this leader will oversee the development and implementation of strategies to ensure that HIM functions in Northern Health are delivered in a manner that supports integrated care and high-quality service delivery.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of projects and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage high-level stakeholder relationships and contractual arrangements

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health information science or a related discipline plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible information management experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively influencing leaders and implementing organizational change
  • Strong understanding of healthcare informatics and health care and the care process as it relates to records management and the electronic health record
