Job Title: Director, Finance

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director, Finance to lead our Retail Operations team in Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic imperative, growth, and expansion of our Retail O&O stores and Franchise Partners' Stores in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the Canada DTC stores strategy and execution, delivering AFP, KPIs, and qualitative targets.
  • Manage franchise partner growth plans in line with DTC strategy, leading the Franchise channel to success and supporting wider Canada commercial priorities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers and landlords, driving a strong network across the market.
  • Lead a team of District Managers, Area Managers, and Specialists, fostering a culture of consumer centricity, inclusion, high performance, brand elevation, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute operational plans for all retail store initiatives, including process improvements, policy & governance, product flow, peak season planning, labor management, workflow management, and other health and safety contingencies.
  • Drive 4W operating expense efficiency targets in line with AFP.
  • Mobilize our retail stores to support and execute the activation of omnichannel programs, including CRM, loyalty programs, BOPIS, Click & Collect, gift cards, ship-from-store, associate-order-in-store, buy-online-pick-up-in-store, and hassle-free returns.
  • Collaborate with Global DTC and Cluster teams to develop training content and effective communication platforms with stores.
  • Partner with Global DTC teams to provide thought leadership on key strategic projects, including Next Gen/store of the future, Tailor Shop experience, and flagship store concepts.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in retail/direct-to-consumer experience, ideally within the Canada market, with a focus on people leadership, consumer-centricity, and in-store operations in a multi-store environment.
  • Strong and inspiring people leader, with experience of elevating capabilities, improving engagement, and establishing a clear approach to talent management.
  • Motivated self-starter with a bias to action, understanding of and experience with delivering objectives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Experience managing diverse and complex teams in matrixed environments, with the ability to partner internally and externally, influence, collaborate, align, and execute on projects and deliver business benefits.
  • Strong connection to marketplace and consumer dynamics, with the ability to translate that into commercial opportunities.
  • Solid knowledge of Real Estate in Canada, including landlord and broker networks, ways of working, and NSO requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve business deliverables, including commercial KPIs, customer satisfaction metrics, staffing models, incentive plans, and marketing plans.
  • Ability to partner with others, including the Director of Omnichannel Operations, and to coach and develop a team of high performers.
  • Strong skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex operations and analytics, and drive end-to-end processes.
  • Solid knowledge of financial drivers, with the ability to work well with a variety of levels and functions within the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to travel for market visits domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to make and implement decisions quickly and under pressure.
  • Ability to quickly call risk to projects and bring together key stakeholders for solutions and drive outcomes.
  • Based in Canada, ideally within the GTA, with strong market knowledge.
