Job Title: Administrative Assistant

About the Role:

As an Administrative Assistant at National Car & Truck Sales and Rental, you will play a vital role in supporting our team's daily operations. Your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional administrative support, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless communication with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer and direct telephone calls, as well as respond to electronic inquiries
  • Compile data, statistics, and other information to support business decisions
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels
  • Greet clients and direct them to relevant contacts or service areas
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents
  • Utilize Google Docs, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, database software, and desktop publishing software to support administrative tasks
  • Develop and maintain reports and records to ensure accurate data and compliance
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and colleagues
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve business objectives and goals
  • Stay organized, accurate, and reliable in all aspects of the role
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Permanent position with 32 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility, organization, and accuracy
  • Team player with a client-focused approach
  • Reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Availability for shift or on-call work
  • Legal ability to work in Canada
