Administrative Support Specialist

About the Role:
As an Administrative Assistant at National Car & Truck Sales and Rental, you will play a vital role in supporting our team's daily operations. Your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional administrative support, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless communication with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct telephone calls, as well as respond to electronic inquiries
- Compile data, statistics, and other information to support business decisions
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Greet clients and direct them to relevant contacts or service areas
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents
- Utilize Google Docs, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, database software, and desktop publishing software to support administrative tasks
- Develop and maintain reports and records to ensure accurate data and compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and colleagues
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
- Collaborate with the team to achieve business objectives and goals
- Stay organized, accurate, and reliable in all aspects of the role
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role
- Permanent position with 32 hours per week
- English language proficiency
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility, organization, and accuracy
- Team player with a client-focused approach
- Reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Availability for shift or on-call work
- Legal ability to work in Canada
