Repo Trading Support Role

We are seeking a skilled Repo Trading Support Analyst to join our team at Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our global repo trading desk, you will provide day-to-day support to our trading teams, efficiently answering inquiries and resolving issues with repo trading system vendors and external contacts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and accurate support to our repo trading desks, ensuring seamless execution of trades and lifecycle events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Front/Middle Office, Trade Desk Support, Back Office, Risk, Collateral Management, and Accounting/Settlement, to resolve inquiries and issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with repo trading system vendors, trading venues, clearing houses, tri-party agents, and regulatory agencies to ensure efficient trade execution and settlement.
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working with repo trading systems in a sell-side organization.
  • Strong knowledge of repo trading, including trade execution, inventory management, settlements, electronic and tri-party trading.
  • Experience with outright bond trading and interest rate derivatives is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and UNIX/Linux skills, with the ability to code in Python and/or Java.
