Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Repo Trading Support Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our global repo trading desk, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to our trading teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our repo trading systems, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support to our repo trading teams, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with our trading systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our key business stakeholders and technology contacts.
  • Participate in the delivery of small-to-medium size enhancements to our existing processes, as required by business priorities.
  • Act as an expert for all integration aspects of repo systems, working with external teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless integration.
  • Resolve identified issues working with repo trading system vendors and other external contacts, such as trading venues, clearing houses, and regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in activities related to system upgrades, infrastructure/security patching, and ensure applications are validated and ready for business following system changes.
Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working with repo trading systems in a typical sell-side organization.
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of repo trading, including trade execution and lifecycle events, inventory and collateral management, settlements, electronic and tri-party trading.
  • Experience with outright bond trading and interest rate derivatives is a strong asset for the role.
  • Experience with systems such as Bondfire, Broadridge FinPro/Impact/SFCM, Bloomberg TOMS, FIS BondOne, Calypso, Anvil, and Apex is highly desirable.
  • SQL, Excel, and essential UNIX/Linux skills are required.
  • Ability to code in Python and/or Java is a strong desirable asset.
Qualifications
  • Foundational level of proficiency in Agile Delivery and Development, Data Analysis, and Learning Agility.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Process Improvement and Optimization, Organization Process Optimization, Business Architecture Frameworks, Stakeholder Analysis and Management, Digital Fluency, Systems Thinking, Verbal & Written Communication Skills, Collaboration & Team Skills, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills, and Data-Driven Decision Making.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Business Requirements Definition and Analysis, Insights Development and Reporting, Application Functional Design, and Functional Analysis.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $74,000 to $138,600, depending on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Our total compensation package includes performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards. We also offer health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
