We are seeking a highly skilled Repo Trading Support Specialist to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our global repo trading desks, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support and ensuring the smooth operation of our repo trading systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and accurate support to our repo trading desks, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Front/Middle Office, Trade Desk Support, Back Office, Risk, Collateral Management, Accounting/Settlement, and other teams to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, trading venues, clearing houses, tri-party agents, and regulatory agencies to ensure efficient and effective issue resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory requirements, and system updates to ensure our repo trading systems are optimized for performance and risk management.
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working with repo trading systems in a sell-side organization.
  • Strong knowledge of repo trading, including trade execution, lifecycle events, inventory management, settlements, electronic trading, and tri-party trading.
  • Experience with outright bond trading and interest rate derivatives is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and UNIX/Linux skills is essential.
  • Ability to code in Python and/or Java is a strong desirable asset.
