Job Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential support to the global repo trading desks at BMO. Your role will involve:
- Delivering day-to-day assistance to various teams engaged in BMO's global repo trading, including Front/Middle Office, Trade Desk Support, Back Office, Risk Management, Collateral Management, and Accounting/Settlement.
- Engaging in the implementation of enhancements to existing processes aligned with business needs.
- Building strong relationships with critical business stakeholders and technology partners.
- Serving as a subject matter expert on all integration aspects of Repo systems, collaborating with external teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Addressing identified challenges by working closely with Repo trading system vendors and other external parties.
- Participating in system upgrades and necessary infrastructure/security maintenance.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years in roles related to Repo trading systems within a sell-side organization.
Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Repo trading, including trade execution, lifecycle events, inventory and collateral management, settlements, and electronic trading.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with systems such as Bondfire, Broadridge FinPro/Impact/SFCM, Bloomberg TOMS, FIS BondOne, Calypso, Anvil, and Apex. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and essential UNIX/Linux skills is required. Coding skills in Python and/or Java are highly desirable.
Proficiency Levels:
- Foundational: Agile Delivery and Development, Data Analysis, Learning Agility.
- Intermediate: Process Improvement, Organizational Optimization, Stakeholder Management, Digital Fluency, Systems Thinking, Communication Skills, Team Collaboration, Analytical Skills, Data-Driven Decision Making.
- Advanced: Business Requirements Analysis, Insights Development, Application Functional Design, Functional Analysis, with typically 5-7 years of relevant experience and a degree in a related field.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary range of $74,000 to $138,600.00, reflecting BMO Financial Group's pay structure.
