We are seeking a dedicated Ag Equipment Operations Manager to oversee the Service Department's workload, focusing on quality, effective communication, and customer satisfaction.

Location: Western Canada

Salary Range: $105K - $120K per annum, plus benefits package.

This permanent position involves:

  • Assigning and scheduling jobs for service employees based on their skills and knowledge, with a focus on providing feedback.
  • Collaborating with the Service Business Manager on new hire orientation and providing mentorship for technicians.
  • Optimizing shop efficiency and workflow to minimize lost billable hours.
  • Maintaining effective communication and follow-up on repair status and issues.
  • Working with the manager to identify and execute continuous process improvements, training opportunities, and providing backup during peak seasons.
  • Assisting in diagnosing and troubleshooting machine problems with technicians and apprentices.
  • Performing final checks and approvals on equipment before starting work orders.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Supporting the Service Advisor in providing quotes for repairs and accurate records of work orders.
  • Fostering strong team dynamics and constructive coworker relations.
  • Participating in safety meetings and promoting safe working habits.

Required qualifications include:

  • At least 5 years of experience in complex service repairs and maintenance.
  • Journeyperson Certification in Ag Equipment Technology (JDTECH) or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in ag/turf equipment repair.
  • Proficiency in current business systems and computer functions.
