Audit Manager

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Enterprise Audit Practice, you will be responsible for leading audit teams and ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the audit of clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of services.
- Manage the audit from planning to completion of statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work with members of the assurance management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan.
- Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Help clients reach solutions to their needs by providing expert advice and guidance.
- Work with clients and partners to resolve complex accounting issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements.
- Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
- Previous experience with ASPE/ASNPO.
- Excellent client service skills, with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and develop strong client relationships.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, derived from dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service.
- Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong team player attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Professional accounting firm experience is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
- Strong mentoring and performance management skills.
