We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team at KPMG-Canada. As a key member of our Enterprise Audit Practice, you will be responsible for leading audit teams and ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the audit of clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of services.
- Manage the audit from planning to completion of statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Work with members of the assurance management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan, driving business growth and improving client satisfaction.
- Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Help clients reach solutions to their needs, providing expert advice and guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Collaborate with clients and partners to develop and implement effective audit strategies, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of audit engagements.
- Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality audit services.
- Previous experience with ASPE/ASNPO, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent client service skills, with the ability to understand and develop strong client relationships.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue, with a strong understanding of business development strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong team player with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Professional accounting firm experience, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
- Strong mentoring and performance management skills, with a focus on developing and retaining top talent.
