About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinetmaker to join our team at Svend Nielsen Ltd. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden products using a variety of woodworking machines and hand tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Woodworking Machines: Safely operate power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Shape and Finish Wood: Use hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files to shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces.
  • Plan and Execute Projects: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made and execute them with precision.
  • Assemble and Finish Products: Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Quality Control: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
  • Certifications: Not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 43 hours per week.
