About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Svend Nielsen Ltd. as a Woodworking Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden products, including cabinets, furniture, and other woodwork items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Woodworking Operations: Operate various woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form wood parts and components.
  • Surface Finishing: Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files, and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test wood products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Project Planning: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made and develop a plan to complete the project efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
  • Certifications: Not required.
