We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Avish Constructions. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and installing custom cabinets and furniture for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Build Custom Cabinets: Create detailed designs and specifications for custom cabinets, taking into account the client's needs and preferences.
- Operate Woodworking Machines: Safely operate a variety of woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
- Prepare and Install Cabinets: Prepare and install custom cabinets, ensuring they are level, plumb, and securely fastened.
- Work with Clients: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide expert advice on cabinet design and installation.
- Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
- Supervise and Train: Supervise and train junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as cabinetmaking or woodworking.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
