We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pediatric Emergency/Observation Unit at Fraser Health. As a key member of our inter-professional care team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of pediatric patients, identifying their unique needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
- Act as a preceptor or mentor, guiding new nursing staff and students in their clinical development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, evidence-based practices, and clinical guidelines, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two years of recent, related clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
- Post-graduate coursework and/or certification in pediatric nursing or a related field.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
