Job Title: Dietitian I, Gastroenterology

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietitian I, Gastroenterology to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert nutrition care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop evidence-based care plans for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal nutrition outcomes.
  • Document patient information and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of nutrition-related policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Graduate of an accredited Dietetic Internship Program or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • One year of recent experience working in a pediatric or gastroenterology setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric nutrition and gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
