Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian II, Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Specialist to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive nutrition care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and screenings to identify patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Develop and implement nutrition plans that address the specific needs of patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including those with malnutrition, obesity, and other related conditions.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric nutrition and gastrointestinal health.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Dietetics or a related field.
- Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nutrition and gastrointestinal health.
- Advanced knowledge of nutrition management principles and medical nutrition therapy for acute and chronic disease states.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
