Transportation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to join our team at Steer Technologies Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and assess the performance of our transportation team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to optimize our transportation operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our transportation department, ensuring that all expenses are properly accounted for and that our budget is managed effectively.
- Recruit and Supervise Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of transportation professionals, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and Implement Business Plans: Work with our business development team to develop and implement business plans that align with our company's goals and objectives.
- Conduct Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Develop Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our transportation services and attract new customers.
- Manage Inventory: Oversee the management of our inventory, ensuring that all goods are properly stored and that our inventory levels are optimized.
- Develop Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies to identify potential business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Provide Consulting Services: Provide consulting services to our clients, helping them to develop and implement their own business plans.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a transportation or logistics role.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a large workload and tight deadlines.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, flexible, initiative, judgement, organized, reliable, team player, dependable, integrity, and due diligence.
