Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Stock Transportation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school.
Key Responsibilities- Dispatch and Route Planning: Direct and monitor daily assignments, schedule drivers and bus assistants, and assign vehicles to ensure daily coverage of all routes, field trips, and charter work.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate all relevant details of driving assignments to drivers to ensure proper execution, and assist drivers with routing directions and direct them to perform special services when required.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls, facilitate emergency response networks, coordinate mechanical service repair, and assign replacement buses and drivers when there is a problem on a route.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and reliable records of route documentation, including relevant contract requirements, school information, student data, route changes, and vehicle details.
- Customer Service: Handle customer concerns and requests for information in an expeditious and professional manner, and escalate unresolved issues to management as appropriate.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous dispatch experience is preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of surrounding geographic area, ability to organize and prioritize time, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to read and interpret documents, and ability to operate two-way and emergency radio systems.
- Language: Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.
