Transportation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team at Steer Technologies Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, and managing a team of logistics professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor department's performance and prepare reports for senior management.
- Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
- Recruit and supervise staff, including professional and support staff and students.
- Develop and implement business plans to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.
- Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale and retail consumers.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and revenue.
- Provide consulting services to government and other organizations.
- Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Ensure transport compliance with regulations and negotiate for services and preferential rates.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in transportation management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fast-paced environment with a large workload.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Regular travel may be required.
