Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatch Operations Manager to join our team at Stock Transportation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and monitor daily assignments, scheduling drivers and bus assistants to ensure timely coverage of all routes, field trips, and charter work.
  • Ensure drivers and bus assistants complete daily tasks on-time and communicate relevant details to ensure proper execution.
  • Assist drivers with routing directions and direct them to perform special services when required.
  • Recommend disciplinary action for part-time staff for policy violations.
  • Respond to emergency calls, coordinate mechanical service repair, and assign replacement buses and drivers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of route documentation, including contract requirements, school information, student data, and route changes.
  • Coordinate vehicle service and mechanical repairs with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Comply with dispatch standard operating procedures and handle customer concerns in a professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous dispatch experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective routing.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate two-way and emergency radio systems, as well as Microsoft Office programs and computerized routing software.
