Job Title: Chief Administrative Officer

Job Summary:

The District of Invermere is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Administrative Officer to lead the district's administrative functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and guidance to the district's administrative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the district's administrative team, ensuring the effective implementation of district policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with district staff, council, and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve district goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with district policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the district's financial management, ensuring effective budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Human Resources: Provide leadership and guidance to the district's human resources function, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and employee development.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with the community, ensuring effective communication and engagement on district initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a municipal government or public sector organization.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
