Your Opportunity:

The University of Alberta Hospital is a leading clinical, research, and teaching hospital, treating over 700,000 patients annually from western and northern Canada. This position is a key role in the hospital's respiratory therapy department.

Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist II, you will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and assessing clinical services in your assigned area. You will act as a clinical resource for daily operations, coordinating the work of therapy assessment and treatment in your service area, and assist in the development of clinical protocols. You will develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor the progress of patients receiving advanced respiratory treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor clinical services in your assigned area

Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA)

Preferred Qualifications:

Current advance life support certifications specific to the role, relevant baccalaureate degree, and or supervisory training/certification
