Position Overview
We are in search of a skilled and proactive Senior Manager of Maintenance and Engineering to collaborate with our corporate engineering team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility. This role involves overseeing site-level engineering projects, managing maintenance programs, and working closely with senior leadership on capital investment planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, technical knowledge, and a results-driven mindset in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Management:
- Design and implement preventive maintenance strategies to uphold safety, product quality, and equipment efficiency.
- Establish maintenance schedules and procedures to enhance asset performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with production teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize operational disruptions.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply corrective measures as necessary.
- Oversee the spare parts program, managing costs effectively while ensuring business continuity.
- Lead change management initiatives for new infrastructure, ensuring effective planning and execution.
Capital Investment Planning:
- Develop a strategic capital investment plan to support the site's long-term growth.
- Assess capital expenditure proposals and conduct cost-benefit analyses for senior leadership recommendations.
- Collaborate with corporate teams to secure funding and manage vendor relationships.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Encourage collaboration across sites to share best practices and optimize performance.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting facility operations and compliance.
- Work with compliance teams to address any regulatory issues.
Asset Management and Lifecycle Planning:
- Implement asset management strategies to maximize equipment lifecycle.
- Conduct assessments of asset condition to inform maintenance and replacement decisions.
- Develop long-term asset replacement plans and budget forecasts.
Data Analysis and Performance Metrics:
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators related to maintenance and operations.
- Analyze trends and develop action plans to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.
- Prepare reports for senior management to communicate performance and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing maintenance programs and executing engineering projects.
- Strong project management skills, including planning and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in maintenance and engineering.
- Experience in regulated industries is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in maintenance and engineering roles within a manufacturing environment.
