Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Manager of Maintenance and Engineering to collaborate with our corporate engineering team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility. This role will involve overseeing site-level engineering projects, managing maintenance initiatives, and partnering with senior leadership in capital investment planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, technical knowledge, and a results-driven mindset in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Oversight:

  • Design and implement preventive maintenance strategies to uphold safety, product quality, and equipment efficiency.
  • Establish maintenance schedules and procedures to enhance asset performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with production teams to prioritize maintenance tasks, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Monitor equipment functionality, troubleshoot issues, and apply corrective measures as necessary.
  • Manage spare parts inventory effectively to ensure business continuity.
  • Lead change management initiatives for new infrastructure, ensuring effective planning and execution.

Capital Investment Strategy:

  • Develop a strategic capital investment roadmap to support site growth and sustainability.
  • Assess capital expenditure proposals and conduct cost-benefit analyses for senior leadership recommendations.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to secure funding and manage vendor relationships.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Encourage collaboration across maintenance teams to share expertise and optimize performance.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance and engineering operations adhere to regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting facility operations and equipment safety.
  • Work with compliance teams to address any regulatory issues.

Asset Management:

  • Implement asset management strategies to maximize equipment lifecycle.
  • Conduct assessments of asset conditions to inform maintenance and replacement strategies.
  • Develop long-term asset replacement plans and budget forecasts.

Data Analysis:

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators related to maintenance and operations.
  • Analyze trends to identify improvement areas and develop action plans.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on performance trends and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing maintenance programs and engineering projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning and budgeting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in maintenance.
  • Experience in regulated industries is advantageous.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in maintenance and engineering roles.
