Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Oversight:
Design and execute preventive maintenance strategies to uphold safety, guarantee product integrity, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment efficiency.
Formulate maintenance schedules and procedures to maximize asset performance while adhering to regulatory standards.
Collaborate with production teams to prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Monitor equipment functionality, address issues proactively, and implement necessary corrective measures.
Manage the spare parts inventory effectively to control costs and ensure uninterrupted operations.
Lead change management initiatives for new infrastructure, ensuring thorough planning and successful execution of maintenance programs.
- Strategic Capital Planning:
Develop a comprehensive capital investment strategy to support the site’s long-term growth and sustainability.
Assess capital expenditure requests, perform cost-benefit analyses, and provide recommendations to senior management.
Work in conjunction with corporate engineering, finance, and procurement teams to secure funding and manage vendor relationships.
- Team Leadership:
Provide mentorship and guidance to the maintenance and reliability teams, conducting performance evaluations and setting developmental goals.
Identify training opportunities to enhance team capabilities and technical skills.
Encourage collaboration among maintenance teams across sites to share expertise and best practices.
- Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities align with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting facility operations and equipment safety.
Collaborate with compliance teams to address any audit findings or compliance issues.
- Asset Management:
Implement asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of equipment and infrastructure.
Conduct regular assessments of asset conditions to inform maintenance and replacement strategies.
Develop long-term asset replacement plans and budget forecasts to maintain operational reliability.
- Performance Monitoring:
Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators related to maintenance and engineering operations.
Prepare reports for senior management detailing performance trends and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance and engineering roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record in capital investment initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in maintenance and engineering.
- Experience in highly regulated industries is advantageous.
