System Architecture Specialist

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Architecture Specialist to lead the definition of the global architecture of our training devices. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with system engineering specialists and domain experts to develop a comprehensive integrated training solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support business development and proposals teams during the bid phase to define training device architecture.
  • Lead design activities and act as the overall design authority during the project's lifecycle.
  • Analyze and interpret training and device requirements to define a compliant solution in schedule, scope, and cost.
  • Establish project software architecture and its mapping onto physical components.
  • Identify risk and cost-driving design issues and develop original solutions to minimize risk while optimizing costs.
  • Perform and support solution and cost review and all phases of the design review.
  • Interface with architecture board to address any non-standard solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or master's degree in engineering, computer, or information sciences.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in design and development for aerospace, simulation, and training systems.
  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering development processes.
  • Understanding of aircraft systems functionality, flight operation principles, and flight regulation.
  • Experience in software architecture is a strong plus.
  • Business acumen, including BD/Sales support, proposals, and execution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Fluency in French is a strong plus.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance with access to NATO secret documents and adhere to ITAR requirements.
