Data Architecture Specialist at National Bank

Embarking on a career as a Data Architecture Specialist at National Bank involves playing a pivotal role in the bank's transformation within the realms of payments, card services, financial crime monitoring, and regulatory compliance initiatives. This position empowers you to make a significant impact on the organization by utilizing your expertise, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in business processes, systems integration, Domain Driven Design (DDD), cloud technologies, and intricate solution development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather both functional and non-functional requirements, crafting data architectures and designing technical solutions that align with business goals and architectural standards.
  • Assess and propose suitable emerging technologies, platforms, and tools for each initiative, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and adhere to industry regulations.
  • Identify integration methodologies such as APIs, streaming, microservices architecture, and containerization/serverless approaches to enhance scalability, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement DDD principles to address complex challenges and deliver a modular architecture.
  • Supervise data identification, cataloging, quality assurance, traceability, and documentation processes.
  • Develop Cloud solutions utilizing AWS services tailored to specific project requirements.
  • Establish and enforce robust security protocols to safeguard data, applications, and systems while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and partners, guiding and mentoring a team of developers.

Your Team

As a member of the solution architect team at National Bank, you will report to the senior director and contribute to the design of innovative solutions for clients in the Payments, Cards, Financial Crime Monitoring, and Regulatory sectors. The team is dedicated to enhancing customer experiences through a comprehensive understanding of both technology and business domains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or information technology with relevant experience, or a master's degree in information technology with pertinent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a solutions/data architect for large-scale initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ODS, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, Power Designer Modelling, and Business Catalog Collibra.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud services, structured and unstructured databases, and contemporary ecosystem concepts.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and AWS Solution Architect certification.
