Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our team at Atlantic Packaging. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the shipping department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a shipping supervisory role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and be available on-call for emergency deliveries.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and systems.
