About the Position

Littelfuse is a leading global manufacturer of electronic components serving over 100,000 customers across various end markets. As part of the development team, the Senior Electrical Engineer will be involved in the design, development, and testing of protective relays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electronics Design: Lead the development of complex electronics systems from concept to production launch, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
  • Circuit Design: Create detailed circuit schematics, analyze and simulate circuits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • PCB Layout: Oversee the PCB layout process, ensuring signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal considerations are addressed.
  • Component Selection: Evaluate and select electronic components based on performance, availability, and cost considerations.
  • Prototype Testing: Collaborate with the prototyping team to build and test prototypes, troubleshoot issues, and iterate on designs for continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems into the overall product architecture.
  • Documentation: Generate comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports, to facilitate communication and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
About You
  • BS Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an electronics design role.
  • Strong ability to communicate with other engineers, management, and external customers over both written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrable knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Proficient in a schematic capture and PCB layout tool.
  • Experience with mixed signal design, project management systems, and embedded design.
  • Knowledge of UL/cUL/CE Standards / Certification.
