About the Job

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of our development team in Saskatoon, SK, and will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of protective relays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electronics Design: Lead the design and development of complex electronics systems from concept to production launch, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Circuit Design: Create detailed circuit schematics, analyze and simulate circuits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • PCB Layout: Oversee the PCB layout process, ensuring signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal considerations are meticulously addressed.
  • Component Selection: Evaluate and select electronic components based on performance, availability, and cost considerations.
  • Prototype Testing: Collaborate with the prototyping team to build and test prototypes, troubleshoot issues, and iterate on designs for continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems into the overall product architecture.
  • Documentation: Generate comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports, to facilitate communication and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electrical engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and at least 7 years of experience in an electronics design role. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, as well as proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools, such as Altium. Experience with mixed signal design, project management, and embedded design is highly desirable.
