Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Director, Event Sales and Business Development to join our team at Oliver & Bonacini. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of event planning professionals and drive sales growth across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Support, coach, and lead a team of Event Specialists to ensure individual and team goals are met.
  • Sales Strategy: Execute an aggressive sales strategy for existing clients and annual sales goals through strategic planning.
  • Business Development: Actively engage in business development for the portfolio, with a proven track record of extending the sales reach of existing clients to properties across Canada.
  • Client Relationships: Work directly with clients to understand their needs and develop customized solutions to meet their event planning requirements.
  • Menu Development: Manage menu development for all properties in the portfolio and actively work with Operations, Business Ops, and Marketing to ensure menus increase sales.
  • Event Planning: Plan and execute events for clients, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding client expectations.
  • Financial Planning: Execute forecasting and planning using the company's tools and methodologies.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest reactions while in-house to find opportunities to exceed expectations and handle any guest complaints ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a liaison between event specialists and operating departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Experience: Three to five years of event sales experience with a proven ability to grow sales and lead a team of event planning professionals.
  • Language Skills: Advanced written and spoken French.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team while continually exceeding sales goals.
  • Financial Acumen: Exhibits sound financial acumen.
  • Education: College or University graduate preferably in a hospitality-related program.
  • Menu Development: Knowledge of menu development and menu/event planning.
  • Time Management: Able to effectively and efficiently meet deadlines.
  • Client Relationships: Has a large client database and can utilize relationships to expand the O&B business.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think creatively & critically in making daily business decisions.
