The role of Senior Manager, Life Sciences and Innovation in Vancouver is a vital part of the Capital Formation Group of Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV). Reporting to the Managing Director, Global Innovation Sector, the primary responsibility of this role is to assist in developing new listings for TSX/TSXV in the life sciences sector, developing TSX/TSXV as a central destination for Canadian and small-to-midcap international companies to list.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain extensive relationships with key local stakeholders and influencers, ensuring strong alignment and working partnerships with collaborators that facilitate listings on the stock exchange.
  • Articulate the value proposition for TSX/TSXV relative to other domestic & global exchanges, supporting the broader TSX and TSX Venture Exchange and representing TMX at industry events.
  • Identify, initiate and qualify opportunities to maintain a balanced funnel with a continuous focus on moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Document sales activities in Salesforce and provide regular opportunity pipeline and forecast updates and reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably a Bachelor of Commerce or MBA or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of consultative selling experience, including financial products and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus and presentation experience.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel and presentations to C-Level executives.
  • Collaborative teammate who can work efficiently with numerous partners.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the capital markets.
  • Familiar with Salesforce CRM or similar/equivalent sales tools.
