About the Role:

As a Maintenance Technician at Mount Norquay, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be undertaking tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors, as well as moving heavy furniture and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, and scrub floors and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, and plumbing systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Assist with painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, and judgement
