We are searching for a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff. The role is year round and will require a leader with previous maintenance experience and team leadership. We have daily, monthly, preventative maintenance duties on a daily basis. The role reports to the Hotel Manager and to the Facilities OH&S leader.

There are many perks working with CRMR and can be discussed during the interview process.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated, understands what leadership requires, and is completely hands on with daily tasks around the 9 acre property.

**Job Description**:

- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including technicians and contractors, ensuring efficient and effective completion of tasks.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to address preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for all facilities.
- Plan and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruptions to guest services.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests and provide support for their operational needs.
- Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify areas that require attention and develop strategies to address potential issues.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other essential infrastructure.
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Collaborate with procurement to source and acquire necessary equipment and materials for maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment service history, and inventory.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and urgent maintenance requirements, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize maintenance processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements/Experience:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role in a hospitality or related industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- In-depth understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to facility maintenance.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions that align with the organization's goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in project management and budget control is an asset.
