Executive Director of Indigenous Education and Community Development

As Executive Director of Indigenous Education and Community Development at NEC Native Education College, you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing education programs for Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners. Your role will focus on providing accessible and relevant educational opportunities for lifelong learning, professional development, and career advancement.
Main Responsibilities- You will lead strategic planning for continuing education programs aligned with NEC's mission and educational priorities.
- You will develop and update curriculum for certificate programs, workshops, and seminars with faculty and experts.
- You will identify emerging trends and educational needs, developing responsive programming.
- You will oversee program delivery through various formats.
- You will supervise the Indigenous Basic Adult Education (IABE) Program.
- You will monitor program enrollment, student satisfaction, and completion rates.
- You will cultivate relationships with external partners to support program development, marketing, and funding opportunities.
- You will provide leadership and support to continuing education staff, instructors, and administrators.
- You will ensure compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
- A Master's degree in Education, Adult Education, Indigenous Studies, or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in adult education or related fields, preferably in Indigenous education context.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in program development and implementation.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and understanding of Indigenous culture, traditions, and protocols.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools and software.
$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
