Senior Indigenous Education and Operations Manager

About the JobAs a key member of the Indigenous Initiatives and Services team at Langara College, the successful candidate will provide operational leadership to Indigenous Education and Services (IES), including the Indigenous Gathering Space and Indigenous Upgrading Program teams.
Job DescriptionThe Manager reports to the Executive Director of Indigenous Initiatives and Services and oversees day-to-day operations of IES teams, focusing on business operations, human resources, financial management, and special projects within IES.
The position collaborates with partners across the institution and the broader community to fulfill the mandate, objectives, and goals of IES. The Manager also supports the Executive Director in the development and implementation of the Indigenous Action Plan and fulfilling the College's Indigenization and reconciliation goals.
The Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of IES, including budget management, human resources, and facilities. They work closely with the Executive Director and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to support Indigenous students and advance the College's Indigenous education priorities.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline such as education, business administration, accounting or human resources.
- Minimum five (5) years of recent and progressively senior-level administrative experience including financial, human resources, and operational and/or project management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories, as well as experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
